Bobby Wilkerson grew up in the jewelry business. His father had a small watch repair and jewelry shop in Moulton Alabama. As a young man he joined a chain of 32 stores and worked with a larger than life Texan named Jim Bayles running promotions
Bobby says, every jewelers dream is to have customers lined up dozens deep outside their store, clamoring to get in and buy their jewelry. the first time he saw this –on October 15, 1970 –at Alexander Jewelers in Stuttgart Arkansas he was hooked for life! From that day on, jewelry promotions have been a passion and life's work.

Merchandise trends have shifted dramatically, too. What began as largely a watch business moved to diamonds, then gold and today, platinum and a variety of alternative metals.
As the industry has changed so has Bobby's business. Years ago, the focus was primarily on telephone campaigns to bring customers into the store. Then he began to use radio and newspaper ads as a more effective means of promotion. Today he knows that direct mail drives the greatest traffic.
